Professor Tony Hoare sent his congratulations to Alexander Marchuk, the Conference Chair, and all PSI'2006 participants.Dear Alexander, Congratulations on your seventy fifth anniversary Conference, in the series commemorating the life and achievements of Andrei Ershov. All of us who knew and admired his personal and intellectual qualities must be delighted that you are carrying on the great work that he initiated in Novosibirsk. I have most pleasant recollections of the Conference that I attended in July 2003, with its well-balanced mix of contributions from overseas and from young participants from Russia – and parties on the beach!
